PAST

  • We hosted our induction ceremony for the first ever members of the Palisades High School NHS Chapter on September 28! Congratulations to all students who were inducted!


  • The tutoring committee created an AP resources website to help current and future AP students with their courses. That website can be found here.


  • The publicity committee created social media pages to keep students, parents and the community updated. As of now, this consists of an Instagram (@palisadesnhs) and an account on Nextdoor that posts frequently.


  • The NHS website was created as a one-stop shop for all National Honor Society needs!

Teacher bathroom beautification has now concluded, thank you to all our service members who contributed!


CURRENT

  • The NHS tutoring committee has created a google classroom to help students enrolled in AP Government and Politics and AP World History with their summer assignments. This can be found here. Students must sign up with their personal email.

  • The Mentorship committee has created a form for those interested in becoming a mentor! Only upperclassmen can apply. Mentors will be paired with an at-risk freshman and act as a personal guide and contact to help them through their first year of high school. If interested, that form can be found here.


  • Tutoring for math, Science, Social Studies, and English is ongoing, find the QR codes around campus to for a

tutoringsign up slot.


  • South Pine elementary school donation drive is still on! Donations are encouraged.


UPCOMING

Be on the look-out for other upcoming events. Our third meeting of the school year will be November 14 after school, in the Auditorium. All NHS meetings will be the first Tuesday of every month, unless a CMS holiday interferes.


  • ISO food drive and Book Club drive! Donation to either drives, equals results in service hours.
